1. 04:30 Hotel Pick-Up & Welcome: Relax as our air-conditioned minivan collects you from your hotel in District 1, 3, or 4 (private option can extend to Districts 2, 5, 7, Phu Nhuan, Tan Binh and Binh Thanh). Your guide will greet you and provide a brief introduction to the day ahead. 05:00 Scenic Drive to Cai Rang Floating Market: Enjoy a comfortable drive through the Mekong Delta countryside. Pass lush rice paddies, small villages, and tropical orchards while your guide shares insights into local culture, history, and daily life along the river. 07:45 Breakfast at Local Restaurant: Upon arrival near Cai Rang, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese breakfast at a local riverside eatery (Noodle or Hu Tiu). Savor freshly prepared dishes while soaking in the tranquil morning ambiance of the delta.
2. 08:10 Cai Rang Floating Market Exploration: Board a motorized boat to navigate the bustling canals of the famous Cai Rang Floating Market. Witness vendors selling fruits, vegetables, and local products directly from their boats. Capture authentic scenes of river life and enjoy the colorful sights of floating shops. 09:30 Hủ Tiếu Making Experience: Learn how to prepare hủ tiếu, a signature noodle dish of the Mekong Delta. Your guide and local chefs will demonstrate the process and share culinary tips, giving you a hands-on taste of traditional southern Vietnamese cuisine. 10:15 Local Fruit Garden & Traditional Music: Visit a riverside fruit garden to taste seasonal tropical fruits and sip Vietnamese tea. Listen to Đờn Ca Tài Tử, the traditional southern Vietnamese folk music, as your guide explains local customs and agricultural practices.
3. 12:00 Transfer to Cai Be & Visit Ancient House: Cruise further along the Mekong to Cai Be, where you’ll explore the historic Ancient House. Learn about its architecture, cultural significance, and riverside lifestyle. 13:00 Pancake Making & Vietnamese Set Lunch: Participate in a hands-on bánh xèo (Vietnamese savory pancake) making class at the ancient house. Enjoy a traditional Mekong-style lunch featuring fresh local specialties prepared by the hosts. 14:30 Cycling Through Fruit Gardens Hop on a bicycle and explore the orchards and fruit plantations surrounding Cai Be. Cycle along scenic paths while sampling tropical fruits such as jackfruit, durian, rambutan, and guava.
