All of our Open tours start at Národní třída (National Avenue) between the National Theatre (Nbr. 2) and Nová Scéna (The New Stage) (Nbr. 4). It is opposite to the tram stop Národní Divadlo in which the trams (lines 2, 9, 18 & 22) are heading toward the river. Itinerary

1. National Theater
This is where the walk begins. Here, you'll not only hear about the history of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic, but also learn which regions make up the country and discover the main historical districts of Prague. Before you set off on the route, you’ll also hear a bit about the iconic National Theatre building and its modern counterpart, the New Stage.

2. Kampa Park
Kampa is one of the most charming and peaceful corners of Prague, nestled between the Vltava River and the historical Lesser Town. Here, you’ll also spot the famous giant baby sculptures by Czech artist David Černý—both strange and unforgettable!

3. The John Lennon Wall
The John Lennon Wall is an iconic spot in Prague, filled with vibrant graffiti and messages of peace, love, and freedom. Originally a symbol of resistance during Communist times, today it’s a colorful, ever-changing attraction loved by locals and tourists alike.

4. Charles Bridge
From Charles Bridge, you can enjoy stunning views of Prague Castle, the Vltava River, and the historic skyline of the Old Town.

5. St. Nicholas Church
The Church of St. Nicholas in Lesser Town is one of the most impressive Baroque buildings in Prague, easily recognizable by its green dome and towering bell tower. Its beautifully decorated facade makes it a true architectural highlight of the historic city center.
6. Prague Castle
In the evening, Prague Castle is beautifully illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere above the city. The stunning St. Vitus Cathedral is also lit up, highlighting its dramatic gothic towers against the night sky.

7. Jan Palach Square
Jan Palach Square is named after the Czech student who became a national symbol of protest and sacrifice for freedom. This spacious square is surrounded by important cultural institutions, including the Rudolfinum concert hall and Charles University buildings. With beautiful views across the river and nearby Prague Castle, it's a popular spot for visitors and locals alike.
