Itinerary
1. Your local friendly guide and the driver will pick up at your Suzhou hotel or railway station (If you travel by train). Upon meeting spend few minutes to customize your tour. As private tour you will enjoy a fully flexible itinerary. Following is the sample itinerary, be sure to let your guide know if you need make any changes. Begin your great tour at the UNESCO garden-The Humble Administrator’s Garden, with a history about 500 years, it ranked top four famous garden in China. Spend leisure time to explore different sections of the garden that designed with ancient wisdom, appreciate the beautiful architecture surrounded by the tranquil ponds, flowers, exquisite rockeries and pavilions, learn the fascinating history and custom from your guide. If you prefer a more intimate garden you could choose to other ones such as Lingering Garden, Garden of the Master of the Nets.
2. Next head to Tiger Hill, another iconic site in Suzhou which is also listed in the UNESCO site, see the famed Huqiu Pagoda which has been leaning over 1000 years, the world second leaning one after the Pisa Tower. If you enjoy hiking, you could make the way to the top of the hill and appreciate the beautiful sceneries along the way.
3. Continue the tour to Pingjiang canal street, a lively stoned paved street along the ancient canal lined with traditional Chinese houses, willow trees, stone bridges. Enjoy fun stroll along and check out the interesting water markets with local arts, crafts, trinkets, eateries etc. If you choose the tour with boat option, you will enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the peaceful canal, fully appreciate the charm of the “Oriental Venice”. After the great tour your guide will see you off at your Suzhou hotel or other downtown area as per your request.
