Itinerary
1. Stop by to learn how to worship at the shrine. Osaka Tenmangu is a Shinto shrine located in Tenjinbashi, Kita-ku, Osaka City. It is also known by the names Tenma Tenjin, Naniwa Sugamo, and Nakajima Tenmangu. It is affectionately called “Tenma no Tenjin-san” by the citizens of Osaka. The Tenjin Festival, held every year from July 24th to 25th, is known as one of Japan's three great festivals and Osaka's three great summer festivals.
2. Visit the museum where you can learn the lifestyle of Osaka people in the Edo period Let's experience a time travel to the old streets of Osaka and the Edo period!
3. Visit Osaka Castle with cycling and learn its culture from a local guide Osaka Castle has a long history, with its origins in the Osaka Honganji Temple (Ishiyama Honganji) of the Warring States period, the Ishiyama Battle fought against Oda Nobunaga, the construction of the castle by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, its fall during the Siege of Osaka, reconstruction by the Tokugawa shogunate, destruction by fire during the upheavals of the Meiji Restoration, and post-war park development, it has always been closely connected with Japanese history and has continued to the present day. The stone walls, moats, Otemon Gate, Tamon Yagura, Sengan Yagura and other ancient buildings that can be seen today are all from the Tokugawa period onwards, and the area has been designated as a Special Historic Site by the national government, with most of the ancient buildings being designated as Important Cultural Properties.
