Overview
The Anne Frank and Jewish History Tour: see the highlights of the Jewish neighborhood of Amsterdam on an E-bike. Learn about the story of Anne Frank. Itinerary
1. Here you meet the guide, who introduces the group to the story of Anne Frank and Amsterdam's Jewish history. We start the bike tour at the perhaps oldest spot in Amsterdam, the Nieuwezijds Kolk.
2. After a short bike ride, we stop at the Nieuwmarkt, at the start of the Jewish Quarter. Here the guide tells about the Jewish history of Amsterdam as well as Second World War history.
3. At this stop we will admire the biggest Synagogue in Amsterdam from the outside.
4. We will walk around and see the Waterlooplein market.
5. Learn about the historic and unique February Strike during the Second World War from our guide.
6. Walk around, hear about, and experience the National Holocaust Monument, where all the names of Jewish people, Sinti and Roma, murdered in the Second World War are commemorated.
7. Hear the interesting story of an elderly Jewish Amsterdammer in the time of the Second World War.
8. We stop and discover the history of this bridge from the Second World War.
9. Come by the bookstore where Anne Frank bought her famous diary.
10. See the sculpture of Anne Frank on the square where she grew up as a Jewish girl before and during part of the Second World War.
11. We walk around and view the house where Anne Frank grew up before going into hiding.
12. We come by the school where Anne Frank went.
13. Learn about the astounding history of Anne Frank and her family in hiding in the Second World War by the original Anne Frank House.
