Itinerary

1. Ayothaya Floating Market
Visit Ayothaya floating market.
Duration: 30 mins
2. Wat Samana Kottharam
Arrive at the meeting point, a welcome awaits you. Take the next 10 minutes to gear up and receive a safety briefing. Recieve a brief training before the main tour begins. Wat Samana Kottharam, a beautiful attraction in Ayutthaya located near Wat Kudi Dao, boasts a unique prang, reminiscent of the Chedi Chet Yot in Chiang Mai. This prang stands out with doors on all sides and a wooden gable roof. Inside the main hall (ubosot), you'll discover the central Buddha image, 'Phra Si Samanagot Bophit,' crafted from sandstone during the early Ayutthaya period. The Buddha is depicted in the Bhumisparsa Mudra. Additionally, Wat Samana Kottharam features a large stupa with a distinctive style, believed to be inspired by the Seven-Spires Temple in Chiang Mai.
Duration: 30 mins
3. Wat Kudi Dao
Situated in Ayutthaya, Wat Kudi Dao is a captivating temple celebrated for its historical significance and delightful architecture. Originally constructed during the Ayutthaya Kingdom, the temple has undergone renovations over time, displaying a blend of cultural influences. The main hall of Wat Kudi Dao, referred to as the ubosot, is gracefully crafted for Buddhist ceremonies. The temple's architectural style adheres to the classical Ayutthaya tradition, known for its intricate details and ornate decorations. The temple grounds are frequently adorned with sculptures and religious artifacts, enhancing its visual charm.
Duration: 30 mins
4. Wat Maheyong
Wat Maheyong, a Buddhist monastery situated just outside the eastern end of the ancient city of Ayutthaya, stands in a state of ruins despite undergoing multiple restoration efforts throughout its history. Initially built in the 15th century, it likely functioned as a meditation center, and the discernible red brick walls can still be seen from a distance. Recognized as a national historical site by Thailand's "Fine Arts Department," the monastery's ordination hall (ubosot) remains a venue for religious ceremonies, with active participation from Buddhist monks, particularly during significant periods.
Duration: 30 mins
5. Wat Dusidaram Worawihan
Wat Dusittharam is a serene monastery located on the west bank of Khlong Ayodhya. The name "Dusittharam" is derived from the Sanskrit word "Tush," conveying a sense of contentment and fulfillment of desires. The monastery spans a significant area, divided into an old and a new section. The old segment features a substantial chedi, a vihara, and an ordination hall (ubosot), embodying the traditional charm of the temple. In contrast, the modern section showcases contemporary monastic buildings, illustrating the evolving landscape of Wat Dusittharam.
