Amsterdam: Experience Edam, a Cheese Tasting, and a Windmill Discount Tickets

Overview

Discover authentic Dutch culture on this small-group morning tour. Just 20 minutes from Amsterdam, we visit the charming village of Edam, home to the original cheese market where cheese was traded centuries ago. Learn about traditional cheese-making and enjoy a fresh tasting at a real working farm. Next, we travel to Schermerhorn, where the oldest polder in the Netherlands was created using historic 400 year old windmills. Step inside an original windmill, see how families once lived, and learn how wind power was used to drain water and create farmland. With a knowledgeable guide and a relaxed small-group setting, this tour offers an authentic and educational introduction to Dutch windmills and cheese all within a few hours from Amsterdam.
