Itinerary

1. Cusipata
At this point we will make a short stop to enjoy breakfast. Here travelers can get a little more acclimatised as they prepare for the start of the hike to Ausangate. Our guide will explain the plan of the day and answer any questions before continuing the trip.
Duration: 30 mins
2. Ichupata
Transfer to Ichupata, where we begin the hike to Ausangate Mountain. The walk lasts between 40 minutes and 1 hour, during which our guide will explain about the natural environment, the local culture and the sacred importance of the mountain. We will enjoy stunning scenery and photo opportunities.
Duration: 50 mins
3. Nevado Ausangate
Arrival at Nevado Ausangate, the highest sacred mountain in the region. Here travelers can admire the towering snow-capped peaks and turquoise lagoons that surround the area. Our guide will explain the cultural and spiritual importance that Ausangate has for Andean communities. This is an ideal time to take pictures, enjoy the scenery and connect with nature.

4. Cusipata
At the end of the hike, we will make a stop in the Cusipata district during the return to Cusco. Here we will stop at a local restaurant to enjoy a well-deserved lunch. It is the ideal time to relax, share experiences of the day and regain energy after the walk. Our guide will be available to answer questions or discuss what you have experienced before continuing with the trip back to the city.

5. Cusco
Returning to the city of Cusco, we finished our trekking experience. Tourist transport will drop you off at an agreed central point or at your hotel (depending on the contracted service). It is the perfect closure for a day full of nature, culture and adventure.
