Overview

From your cruise ship in Alexandria to the Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum, with a licensed Egyptologist who knows both worlds inside out. Your guide meets you at the port with an air-conditioned vehicle. You drive to Cairo and start at the Giza Plateau, standing at the base of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, seeing the Sphinx, and visiting the panoramic view point where all three Pyramids align for photos. Then straight to the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum ever built. Your guide walks you through the soaring atrium past the towering statue of Ramses II and into the Tutankhamun galleries where his complete treasures are shown together for the first time in history. Lunch at a quality local restaurant, then return to your ship with 2 hours of buffer before sail-away. Maximum 8 travelers per departure, so you get personal attention from your Egyptologist. Often you may have the tour to your party only. We have been doing this since 2013.

Itinerary

1. The Pyramids Of Giza
After your private transfer from Alexandria Port to Cairo (approximately 2.5 hours), you arrive at the Giza Plateau. Your Egyptologist walks you to the base of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, explains its construction and history with real depth, and gives you time at the panoramic view point for the clearest photo of all three Pyramids together.
Duration: 90 mins
2. Great Sphinx
A short walk from the Pyramids brings you to the Great Sphinx of Giza, the limestone guardian carved from a single rock outcrop over 4,500 years ago. Your Egyptologist explains its true age (disputed by some scholars), what it actually represents, and the centuries of restoration that have shaped it. You'll have time for photos from the dedicated viewing platform with the Pyramid of Khafre rising behind it.
Duration: 30 mins
3. Grand Egyptian Museum
You continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum ever built, opened in November 2025. Your guide walks you through the soaring atrium past the towering statue of Ramses II, up the Grand Staircase lined with royal monuments, and into the Tutankhamun galleries where his complete collection is displayed together for the very first time in history. You see the gold mask, the chariots, the throne, and the canopic shrines, all with stories told by someone who actually studied them.
