Itinerary
1. Enjoy a swim out to the swim raft moored off the beach. Visit the historic church overlooking the bay. Take a break under the shade trees on the reserve or at one of the picnic tables on the ride out of the bay
2. The ride out of the bay runs on a very quiet sealed road up to the amazing lookout. Stop at the seat for the view 200km across the pacific to the Kaikoura mountains. The scooter makes it fun and easy.
3. Okains Bay Maori and Colonial Museum
4. Visit the Okains Bay store, the oldest continuously operating store in New Zealand, have a coffee or an Ice cream. Ride down to the expansive sandy Okains bay beach for a picnic on the sand (blanket and picnic set provided - bring your towel and swim gear!)
5. Ride the back road from Okains Bay up to Panama Rock. 10 minute climb up this extinct volcanic cone for great views and photos. Ride down to Le Bons Bay beach for a swim or relaxing walk along the sand
