Itinerary
1. Humayun's Tomb
Now you get to see the impressive tomb in Delhi. Humanyun’s Tomb is considered to be an inspiration for the world famous Taj Mahal. Humayun’s was the son of Mughal emperor babur though he is at not regarded as high as his father his son akbar is known as one of the greatest mughal. Wife of Humayun after his death started constructing a mausoleum for her husband she was the Haji Begum in year 1565 ACE almost after nine years of the death of emperor Humayun the constructor started and carried in for next seven years. Ultimately in year 1572 the monument was completed. Though many Islamic monuments preceded the humayun’s tomb but perhaps the mausoleum is pioneer in India displaying many architectural marvels for the first time. Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyas whi hailed from heart in Afghanistan was the chief architect of this monument though he died before the final completion of the monument.

2. Jama Masjid
Now get prepared for the visit of India’s biggest Mosque- Jama Masjid. Shahjahan the mughal emperor was a very devout Muslim, unlike his father Jahangeer he prayed fine times a day kept all the religious obligations. It was Shahjahan who had shifted his capital from Agra to Delhi, Shahjahan built a shahi mosque which today popularly is called the Jama masjid of Delhi. The mosques are always made with three domes in which the central dome is the largest the structure basically is a place to facilitate the congregation of muslims, who collect over to say the namaaz. The people collected always bow towards Mecca. In this part of India Mecca is towards west so the Namazees bow towards Mecca, the back of the mosque is towards west. There is a large courtyard in front of the domed structures, right in the centre of the red sand stone courtyard is a white marble clad “VuZu” tank -a tank where the devotees wash their hands and face before going for Salaah.

3. Qutub Minar
Afterwards you will proceed to visit Qutub Minar which is the world’s tallest tower and was constructed by the slave dynasty rulers Qutubuddin Aibak and Iltatmish Qutub Minar. The Qutub Minar was envisaged by the slave dynasty ruler. Qutub ud din aibak and later on completed by his successor iltutmish. It is 72.5 meter in height and it is base diameter is 14.3 meters. The lofty towers have 379 steps to soar high. The top storey of this imposing tower was outer polied by Sikandar Lodi and is made of white marbles. This has inscription from the holy quram on the cylindrical shafts. The 5 storied towers have the lower 3 stories of sand stone work and the upper 2 has red sandstone and white marble used together. It has strong affinity to the tower of Pisa as it has a tilt mercly of 60 centimeters from the vertical.

4. Lotus Temple
The temple controls 27 marble petals that form clusters to look like lotus. There are nine openings to the temple in regards to the nine anatomical openings of a human body. Lotus temple preaches Baha I Faith, a concept that includes all religions of the world as one. A person of any religion or creed can visit the temple and take part in the rituals. No religious script is allowed inside the temple. No lectures, sermons or spiritual meetings are allowed inside the temple. Musical prayers are conducted by instruments from time to time.
The temple holds no pictures or statues of any worship form. There is no altar or platform inside the temple. The temple can hold more than 2,400 people at the same time. The surface of the temple is made of white marble imported from Greece.

5. Red Fort

7. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib
Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is the most popular Sikh (religion) Gurudwara (place of worship). It is recognized for its association with 8th Sikh Guru-- Guru Har Krishan. Situated in Connaught Palace, it was very first finished in the year 1664. However, it was renewed in the year 1783. What we see today has actually been built post-1947 - year of the independence of India.
The story behind Gurudwara Bangla Sahib goes like this-- it is stated that the 8th Guru of Sikhs, Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji, stayed here in this Palace in the year 1664. He is stated to have assisted struggling with the epidemic. Guru Sahib died ultimately suffering with the very same epidemic diseases.
