Meeting and Pickup

Please arrive 15 minutes early. Late arrivals cannot be accepted. The tour will meet on the sidewalk in front of the entrance to 120 Tremont Street. Look for the guide wearing a colonial outfit.

Redemption Instructions

Arrive 30 minutes early, that is when check in begins. Tours leave promptly on time and late arrivals cannot be accepted. MEETING LOCATION (option selected during checkout): 1. 120 Tremont Street : Check in on the sidewalk in front of the entrance to 120 Tremont St. Look for the colonial dressed guide. 2. 139 Tremont Street (Boston Common Visitor Center) The Visitor Center is a tiny building located approximately 60 feet (20 meters) walking distance into the Boston Common from Tremont Street. Directly across the street from the Boston Common on Tremont Street is a McDonald's as a reference point. Check in directly with your colonial dressed guide in front of the Boston Common Visitor Center. *Note: Do NOT use Apple Maps to find the meeting place of this tour as it has a tendency to direct guests to a suburb outside of Boston. On Google Maps the walking directions are easily searchable under "Freedom Trail Starting Point." IF YOU BECOME LOST IN THE PARK (step by step directions) 1. Walk to the nearest street to find which side of the Boston Common you are on and and look at a map or phone or GPS to locate yourself. 2. Walk along the perimeter of the Boston Common until you reach the Tremont Street side. 3. Walk along Tremont Street until you see the McDonald's across the street. This is when you should re-enter the Common to locate the Visitor's Center building. You will see a person dressed in colonial clothing. That is your guide. Check in with them. Contact: 978-741-1170

1. The New State House "Boston State-House is the hub of the solar system” -OLIVER WENDALL HOLMES. See the gold domed Massachusetts State House built in 1798 and hear about Colonial America the American Revolution.

2. An iconic site on The Tour of the Freedom Trail. Hear it's history near it's front steps. On Independence Day in 1831, America (My Country 'Tis of Thee) was performed for the very first time.

3. The Granary Cemetery Resting place of Sam Adams, John Hancock, Paul Revere James Otis, the Boston Massacre victims, 3 signers of The Declaration of Independence, and many more, expect to spend up to 45 minutes here as the stories of colonial Boston take shape!

4. See America's first Public School and hear about it's famous Colonial American alumnus Benjamin Franklin Samuel Adams, see the Ben Franklin Statue

5. Stop at Boston's oldest commercial building. This is where Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter, Thoreau's Walden, and Longfellow's Midnight Ride of Paul Revere were all published.
6. Guests will hear the story of The Boston Tea Party in the location where it happened, just outside the Old South Meeting House. Also guests will see and hear about the Paul Revere Bell.
