1. Cape Town Central
This is where the itinerary starts with pick up from the hotel at 7:00 Am .we will drive 1:30 hrs to the reserve .
2. Koeberg Nuclear Power Station
Koeberg Nuclear Power Station is South Africa’s only nuclear power plant, located about 30 km north of Cape Town near Melkbosstrand. It is operated by Eskom and plays a key role in supplying stable, low-carbon electricity to the national grid. Commissioned in the mid-1980s, Koeberg has two pressurized water reactors (PWRs) with a combined capacity of about 1,860 megawatts. The station helps reduce reliance on coal-fired power and contributes significantly to the Western Cape’s electricity supply. Koeberg is also known for its strict safety standards and ongoing maintenance and life-extension projects to ensure reliable operation for many years to come.
