Overview

Perfect tour to see all six towns on Martha's Vineyard in 3 hours, and to stop and get out to see the the beautiful seaport of Menemsha and the cliffs in Aquinnah. Customers will be engaged by great, "five star" local guides providing narration about the history, culture, celebrities, lighthouses, beaches, Jaws, gingerbread cottages, whaling captain's homes, and much more. Conducted in very nice, comfortable, air-conditioned, high top Ford Transit vans with large windows.

We will be parked across the street from the the Oak Bluffs Steamship Authority ticket office, in front of the statue of the soldier. Look for vans with Martha's Vineyard Excursions printed on the side with large gold letters.

Redemption Instructions

Please give or show tickets to the tour guide upon arrival to your tour vehicle. This requires good weather. If the tour cannot run due to ferry cancellations or very poor weather, we will offer another date or a full refund. If taking the Steamship Ferry to MV, call them at 508-477-8600, the day before-ask what parking lot to use- get directions. If taking a 10:30 tour, park your car at the lot by 8:45am- take the shuttle bus, standing by, to Woods Hole. Buy tickets and take the 9:30am ferry. You'll be in Oak Bluffs at 10:15am. See us at top of ramp across street at soldier statue. If on any other ferries, please meet at the same starting location. When on the 1:30 tour allow enough time to get on the ferry and reach us in Oak Bluffs at 1:30.

Itinerary

1. This state beach is famous for a scene which was filmed for the movie Jaws, and for the famous Jaws bridge where people jump off the bridge into the water all day.
2. Colorful clay cliffs located below the beautiful Aquinnah lighthouse
Duration: 15 mins
3. A brick lighthouse, still operating, and positioned above the Aquinnah cliffs.
4. Gingerbread houses galore in this cute area which began as a religious gathering place in the 19th century.
5. This is the oldest platform merry-go-round in the country. If you grab the brass ring, you ride for free.
6. This is said to be the best beach for sunsets. It is also featured in the movie "Jaws" and is a great place for a quick chowder or lobster bisque.

7. A majestic church built by whaling captains and is representative of the wealth they sustained during the whaling industry period.
8. A stately lighthouse built in the early 1800's, overlooking Edgartown harbor and Chappaquiddick.
