Meeting and Pickup
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a green Walks sign. This tour meets near Anvers Metro Station Exit. Meet in front of the information kiosk labeled "Paris Tourisme".

• Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour start time for check-in. Out of courtesy to other guests, we’re unable to wait for latecomers. No refunds can be provided for late arrivals or no-shows. • All guests (including children) must bring ID on the day of their tour. • Security measures are enforced at the Orsay and Sainte-Chapelle. Only small handbags and backpacks are allowed inside. No item larger than 55 x 35 x 20 cm will be allowed. Walks is not responsible for entry prohibited due to large items. • Areas visited during this tour are subject to closure. Your guide may need to modify areas visited on the day of the tour. • Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers. • Walks provides a flexible Seine River Cruise ticket to use at your leisure either at the end of your tour or at the time/date of your choice. • A single cruise ticket is provided for your use at your convenience. Please note that the cruise is guided and may be subject to delays or cancellation due to high water. • Paris is notorious for its strikes. We make every effort to contact you prior to your tour if a strike will affect your tour. Itinerary
1. Begin in Montmartre with a guided visit to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, reaching the hilltop easily via funicular. From the top, enjoy some of the best panoramic views in Paris and admire the basilica’s distinctive white domes overlooking the city.
2. Explore Montmartre on foot with your guide, visiting its historic vineyard and famous windmills while learning how this hilltop district became the heart of Paris’s artistic revolution. Discover where painters like Van Gogh and Picasso once lived and worked, then enjoy free time to sit at a classic French café for coffee and a croissant (optional, at your own expense).
3. Pass by the Place du Tertre, a famous square in the heart of Montmartre, Paris. It is well-known for its artists, cafes, and lively atmosphere.
4. If the option with a museum is selected - Travel with your guide by metro to the world-renowned Louvre Museum. With pre-reserved, timed-entry tickets, you’ll bypass the main ticket lines and head straight inside. During your 90-minute guided visit, discover legendary masterpieces including the Mona Lisa and other iconic works brought to life through engaging stories and expert insight. Please note: On Tuesdays, this tour visits the Musée d’Orsay instead, as the Louvre is closed
5. If the option with a museum is selected - On Tuesdays, you will visit the Orsay Museum instead of the Louvre. Housed in a former railway station the revolutionary works of Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, and more. Your guide explains how these artists transformed the art world, making this the perfect complement or alternative to the Louvre.
6. Pause for lunch at your own expense. Duck inside a French bistro or poke into a patisserie and dine on a crusty baguette, fresh fromage, and an energizing espresso. Reconvene with your group after lunch for a short metro ride to the next stop.
7. The tour continues with a walking tour of Île de la Cité, an island in the middle of the Seine River and the birthplace of Paris. Your guide will point out several monuments including La Conciergerie, where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned, Place Dauphine, possibly the prettiest square in Paris, and the gorgeous Pont Neuf bridge.
8. Admire the iconic Gothic façade of Notre-Dame Cathedral and learn about its history, architecture, and remarkable restoration efforts. Your guide will explain the symbolism carved into its portals and the role it has played in French history.
