Overview

Experience Bangkok’s essential royal and religious landmarks, then continue beyond the standard three-temple route to two distinctive sites that many city tours leave out. Visit the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, see the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, and cross the river to Wat Arun. Continue to Wat Saket for elevated views across Bangkok’s old city before ending at Wat Ratchanatdaram, home to the unusual metal-spired Loha Prasat. With private transportation and a licensed guide, the day is paced around your group, with time for explanations, photographs, questions and a proper break between visits. It is a more complete introduction to Bangkok’s temple architecture, royal history and living Buddhist culture without joining a large group.
