Itinerary

1. Bangkok

Explore Bangkok with a Licensed Guide who adapts the experience to what you want to see and understand rather than following a standard route. Before you meet, you'll complete a short Personalization Form, helping us match you with the right guide and shape the day around your interests and travel style. You might focus on royal history, markets and food, contemporary culture, or the old communities and trading streets that have shaped Bangkok over generations. Please note that this itinerary is not fixed. The number of stops will vary depending on your interests and selected duration.

2. Bangkok Art & Culture Centre

BACC showcases Bangkok's contemporary creative scene through art, photography, design, film, and performance. Its galleries and independent creative spaces offer a fresh perspective on the city beyond its historic landmarks and temples. General admission is free, although some special exhibitions or events may charge.

3. The Golden Mount (Wat Saket)

Rising above the low rooftops of Bangkok's historic center, Wat Saket has been part of the city's religious landscape for generations. Those who choose to enter can climb to the hilltop chedi for broad views across Old Bangkok, while your guide can share the history of the temple and the surrounding district. Tickets to enter are not included.

4. Sao Chingcha (the Giant Swing)

The enormous red Giant Swing once formed part of an important Brahmin ceremony and remains one of the most recognizable landmarks in Bangkok's old center. Its history offers an interesting introduction to the Buddhist and Brahmin traditions that have both influenced Thai religious and royal life.

5. The Grand Palace

For guests who want to include one of Bangkok's essential landmarks, the Grand Palace has stood at the center of Thailand's royal and ceremonial life since Bangkok became the capital in 1782. The complex also contains Wat Phra Kaew and the revered Emerald Buddha. Your guide can provide context on the symbolism, architecture, and royal history as you explore. Tickets to enter are not included.

6. Pak Khlong Talat

Pak Khlong Talat is one of Bangkok's great working markets, with vendors handling huge quantities of orchids, roses, marigolds, garlands, fruit, and vegetables. As you walk among the stalls, learn how flowers are used in Thai homes, temples, shrines, ceremonies, and everyday offerings.

7. Phra Phutthayotfa Bridge

Spanning the Chao Phraya beside the flower market, Memorial Bridge offers a different perspective on the river that has shaped Bangkok's growth. From here, take in river traffic, temple roofs, old commercial districts, and communities on both banks while learning why the Chao Phraya remains such an important part of the city.

8. ศาลเจ้าโจวซือกง ตลาดน้อย

Set within Talat Noi, Chow Sue Kong Shrine has served Bangkok's Chinese community for generations. Incense coils, carved details, and traditional Chinese architecture make it worth seeing, while the surrounding streets open up stories of migration, trade, religion, and the families who established businesses in this riverside district.

9. Housed in a former lathe workshop, Talat Noi Museum documents the trades, traditions, and people of the surrounding community. Outside, the neighborhood's history continues through old shophouses, workshops, shrines, foundries, street art, and narrow lanes. With your guide, notice the small details that tell the story of one of Bangkok's oldest riverside communities.

10. Odeon Roundabout

The Chinatown Gate marks the entrance to Yaowarat and one of Bangkok's most interesting historic districts. Beyond the famous food stalls are gold shops, herbal medicine stores, family businesses, temples, and markets shaped by generations of Chinese-Thai life. Your guide can introduce the stories behind the neighborhood while pointing out places you may want to return to later.
