1. Calgary

With convenient pick-up options from Calgary and Banff, your journey begins with ease. Sit back, relax, and take in the breathtaking mountain scenery, glacier-fed lakes, and iconic landscapes of the Canadian Rockies along the way. Itinerary Overview Calgary/Banff – Yoho National Park -Spiral Tunnel (pass by) – Emerald Lake (20 min) – Natural Bridge (15 min) – Lake Louise & Lunch Time (120 min, optional at own expense) – Marble Canyon (45 min) – Banff/Calgary drop off

2. Yoho National Park

Winter in Yoho National Park is like stepping into a fairy tale, where snow-draped mountains, frozen waterfalls, and serene alpine landscapes create a magical wonderland.

3. Lower Spiral Tunnels Viewpoint

Pass by the famous Spiral Tunnel, a remarkable railway engineering achievement built to help trains navigate the steep Rocky Mountain terrain. Your guide will share interesting facts and stories about its history and importance.

4. Emerald Lake

One of the most admired destinations in Yoho National Park is Emerald Lake. This gorgeous emerald coloured lake is a result of the light refracting the deposit of rock flour in the lake. Emerald Lake is surrounded by the President Range that forms a natural amphitheater with towering forested banks. If you look carefully, you might be able to spot some really cool wildlife such as marmots, bald eagle, bears, loons, and the occasional moose!

Stop at the Natural Bridge along the way and admire the Kicking Horse River as it carves a path through ancient rock. Next, we’ll take you to the magical Lake Louise, where the majestic Victoria Glacier stands tall, offering a breathtaking backdrop. From January to April (depending on the official opening dates), get ready for the world-renowned Ice Magic Festival! This transforms the area into a fairytale wonderland, with stunning ice and snow sculptures crafted by artists from around the world. It’s truly a winter paradise! As you take in the beauty of the lake, you’ll also have a view of the elegant Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, which adds a timeless touch to the already picturesque scenery.
