Overview
This small group food tour covers 10 tastings across six stops in Le Marais, one of Paris's most celebrated food neighborhoods. An expert English-speaking guide leads you through French, Jewish, and Mediterranean culinary traditions that have shaped these streets for centuries. You'll savor escargots with wine at a local restaurant, sample artisan cheeses paired with Norman cider at a family-run fromagerie, and taste fresh falafel in the Jewish quarter along Rue des Rosiers. The centerpiece is a seated tasting of beef bourguignon and French onion soup in a steakhouse. Every dish and drink is included in the price, from the first baguette to the final crêpe. This tour is ideal for food-loving travelers who want to eat like a local without the guesswork of finding the right spots on their own.

Itinerary
1. Note: This tour was refreshed and improved on April 12, 2025 to offer an even better experience. Reviews before this date reflect the previous version. Your guide meets you beside the Pharmacy at Place de La République, one of Paris's major squares. After a brief introduction, you'll set off on foot into Le Marais, a neighborhood where French, Jewish, and Mediterranean food traditions have shared the same streets for centuries.
2. Step inside a traditional Parisian boulangerie and taste a crusty baguette sliced straight from the oven. Your guide explains what separates an everyday loaf from a proper Parisian baguette, and you'll share your first bite of the day on the spot.
3. Settle into a neighborhood restaurant for your first seated tasting. Tender escargots arrive at the table alongside a glass of French wine. This rich, buttery pairing captures one of Paris's oldest culinary traditions.
4. At a family-run fromagerie, sample artisan French cheeses alongside a crisp Norman cider. Your guide explains how region, aging, and technique shape every wheel, from soft Brie to aged Comté.
5. Walk into Le Marais's Jewish quarter along one of its most famous cobblestone lanes. Bite into a warm, crispy falafel from a beloved Mediterranean counter known for generous portions and bold flavors.
6. The centerpiece of the tour is a seated tasting inside a steakhouse. You'll savor beef bourguignon sourced from family farms, a rich French onion soup, and another glass of wine.
7. Your final stop is a sidewalk crêperie run by two friends who started with a single tricycle cart over a decade ago. A thin crêpe is made fresh on the griddle, folded, and finished with butter and a dusting of sugar. Your tour ends here in the heart of Le Marais.
