Itinerary
1. After the pick-up from your hotel in the morning, your trip will start, head for the heart of the champagne in a air-conditioned minivan to region of Épernay where you will start with a guided tour of one of the grand champagne houses such as: Moet & Chandon, Mercier, Nicolas Feuillatte, Veuve Clicquot, Taittinger, or other famous champagne houses, depending on availability. Learn about the history of its namesake and have a chance to sip some fine champagne.
2. Stroll the most prestigious road in the city (and the region) lives up to its name. On more than 1 km, it welcomes a succession of splendid castles and mansions, among them the seats of great champagne houses
3. Visit a local or a family owned champagne house and meet the people behind the production of this great drink. Taste their elegant and exclusive product and hear about the history of their champagne estate. Champagne house may change based on availability
4. See the vines up and personal while your experienced guide tells you about the different varietals of grapes, the terroir, and what makes champagne so celebrated.
5. Pause and take in the breathtaking vistas from the elevated vantage point in the heart of the Champagne region. The rolling vineyards and picturesque landscape spread out before you, painting a scene of serene beauty that captures the essence of this renowned region.
6. Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Reims: Transfer to the historic city of Reims in the Champagne region of France. See the magnificent Reims Cathedral, marvel at its Gothic architecture and learn about its role in history of the region and some of the treasured contained within its walls. Even Joan of Arc herself, made her way to Reims. She persuaded Charles VII to move all the troops through the city and they did, it was then in the Reims Cathedral, where Joan declared Charles VII as her king.
