Itinerary

1. Texas State Capitol
Begin your tour at one of the most iconic landmarks in Texas. Completed in 1888, the Texas State Capitol is taller than the U.S. Capitol and built from distinctive Texas pink granite. Guests will learn about Texas history, political legends, architectural details, and fun stories that bring the building to life — all while taking in sweeping views of downtown Austin.
Duration: 10 mins
2. Paramount Theatre
Step back in time at the historic Paramount Theatre, a cultural icon since 1915. Once home to vaudeville acts and early movie premieres, this beautifully restored theater now hosts Austin’s top film and music festivals. Hear stories of Hollywood stars, local legends, and the art scene that helped put Austin on the map.
3. The Driskill
Experience Austin’s most iconic hotel, built in 1886 by cattle baron Jesse Driskill. With its Romanesque architecture and marble columns, The Driskill has hosted governors, presidents, and countless Texas tales. You’ll learn about its colorful past — from grand galas to political meetings — and see why it remains a symbol of old Austin elegance.
Duration: 10 mins
4. Frost Bank Tower
As we continue down Congress, take in the sleek modern architecture of Frost Bank Tower — one of the first major symbols of Austin’s 21st-century skyline. Your guide will highlight how the city transformed from a quiet college town into a bustling tech and cultural hub known as “Silicon Hills.”
5. The LINE Austin
The LINE Hotel - home to Austin’s largest mural: The Beauty of Liberty and Equality. Created by artists Sandra Chevrier and Shepard Fairey, this 12-story piece celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and the fight for women’s right to vote. It’s a powerful finale that blends art, history, and social change.
6. Congress Bridge Bat
Walk down Congress Avenue toward the river while learning how this street became Austin’s main artery connecting politics, culture, and commerce. The Congress Avenue Bridge is famous worldwide for hosting the largest urban bat colony in North America and offers unbeatable skyline views of the city. Even outside bat season, it’s one of the best photo spots in Austin.
