Overview
The perfect tour to experience Capri in the early morning and avoid the island’s peak crowds. Your journey begins with a scenic cruise along the stunning Sorrento coastline, where you’ll admire the charming fishing village of Marina Grande and the remains of an ancient Roman villa dating back to the 1st century BC. Upon arrival in Capri, you’ll head directly to the famous Blue Grotto. Please note that the visit to the Blue Grotto is subject to weather conditions and high tide. Get ready to discover Capri’s most iconic coastal highlights from the sea: the legendary Faraglioni, the Green Grotto, the White Grotto and the historic Punta Carena Lighthouse. Enjoy refreshing swimming stops in crystal-clear waters and approximately three hours of free time on the island to explore Capri at your own pace. Return to Sorrento is expected around 3:15 pm. Please note: the itinerary suggested by Viator is not fixed and may vary depending on sea conditions and the captain’s decisions.

Itinerary
1. Leaving from Sorrento port, sail along the Sorrento coastline
2. Pass by the charming fishing village of Marina Grande
3. Pass by an ancient Roman villa dating back to the 1st century BC.
4. This tour will allow you to visit the Blue Grotto as soon as you arrive on Capri, thus avoiding waiting times. The visit is dependent on the weather/sea conditions.
5. Pass by one of the oldest lighthouses in Italy, from which you can see the ancient path of the Bourbon forts.
6. The Green Grotto, classified by speleologists as secondary (i.e. produced, due to destructive phenomena, after the formation of the mother rock), is composed of the oldest sedimentary rock on Capri, dolomite.
7. Pass by the legendary Faraglioni rocks. Stop to take souvenir photos.
8. You can see, among the white limestone rocks, the strong contrast between the light of the cave and the blue of the sea, making this place surreal also thanks to the thick and suggestive stalactites and stalagmites.
9. Disembarkation on the island. Visit Capri's main attractions: the main square (La Piazzetta), Via Camerelle (Capri's most famous street for shopping in international brand shops) and the Augustus Gardens.
10. Stop for swimming. Depending on the season, there will be two stops for swimming (before and after the walking tour of the island) lasting approximately 20-30 minutes each, or a single stop (after the walking tour of the island) lasting approximately 45-50 minutes.
11. Return to Sorrento. Disembarkation at Sorrento port around 3:15 pm
