Discover Erfurt at your pace with a scavenger hunt as a guided city tour! Start whenever you want and take as many people as you like. We recommend up to 10 people per box. Solve task by task together and find your way to the Unpacked city. 11 stations are waiting for you, for example the famous cathedral, the historic town hall or the shopping bridge. For the tour we will send you a noble metal box with start card, closed folding cards with tasks and interesting facts about each station. IMPORTANT : Please select a date in the future so that we have time to send you the box! Please write us your full address at the end of Booking Referral. The price is incl. shipping. 1. Domplatz

Welcome to Erfurt! Your adventure begins in one of the most impressive medieval places in Germany. The sprawling Cathedral Square with its unobstructed views of the Cathedral and Severi Church is the perfect starting point. There are 11 numbered folding cards in your city game box. At each station you solve a small task, for example, looking for a year on a sign, counting something, discovering a hidden detail. The number found tells you which card is next. So the scavenger hunt takes you through the city all by itself, without an app and without a guide. Start card out, unfold first card and off you go!

2. Erfurt Cathedral

High up on the cathedral hill is the Gothic Cathedral of St. Mary, one of the most important buildings in Thuringia. Even from the outside, it attracts everyone's attention: the mighty staircase, the imposing facade, the centuries-old charisma. This is where the trail begins. Keep your eyes open and look closer than most visitors do. Here you solve your next task.

3. St. Severi Kirche

Right next to the cathedral, it is often overlooked. The church of Severi with its three striking towers is a Gothic masterpiece in itself. She tells them stories from the Middle Ages that hardly anyone knows. Here you solve your next task.

4. Fischmarkt

The fish market was the heart of the Erfurt trade for centuries and is still one of the most vibrant squares in the city. Surrounded by magnificent Renaissance facades and the striking town hall, you can feel how vibrant history can be. Take a moment and look around. Now solve your next task here and find out which numbered folding card you open next.

5. Historisches Rathaus

The neo-Gothic town hall on the Fischmarkt is one of the most magnificent buildings in Erfurt. Its elaborately decorated facade tells of pride, wealth and city history. If you look closely, you will discover details that are easy to miss as you pass by, and one of them is exactly what you need for your next task.

6. Angerbrunnen

You have now arrived at Erfurt's good parlour, the Anger. The Anger Fountain marks the center of this lively mile. Locals and visitors meet here, everyday Erfurt pulsates here. Take a breath, look around and solve the next task before continuing.

Erfurt's main shopping street is more than just a shopping street. A closer look will reveal historic buildings and hidden details that go far beyond modern shop windows. Today you are not here (just) for shopping, but to find something very specific. Open your eyes!

8. Kramerbrucke

It is the landmark of Erfurt and one of the oldest continuously built bridges in Europe. Narrow houses, centuries-old arches, the quiet murmur of the Gera below : the shopping bridge is a place that won't let you go so quickly. Take a moment and then look for what your card asks of you.

9. City Museum & Merchant's Church : Two places, one station and both have a lot to tell. The city museum in the historic Haus zum Stockfisch preserves over 1,275 years of Erfurt city history. Right nearby is the Kaufmannskirche am Anger, one of the oldest parish churches in the city, which once served as a church for Frisian merchants and even Martin Luther as a preaching place. Look around, because here is your next task.

10. Haus zum guldenen Kronbacken

A real insider tip in the middle of the old town. The Kulturhof Krönbacken is one of those Erfurt gems that can only be found if you really search. You are now initiates and have the penultimate task to solve here.
