Itinerary

1. Cascade Mountain

Cascade Mountain is likely the most iconic mountain in Banff National Park. It is a mountain in the Bow River Valley National Park, near the town of Banff.

2. Vermilion Lakes

Vermilion Lakes is make up of three stunning lakes. It reflects the majestic Mount Rundle, which rises over the town of Banff.

3. Castle Mountain

Castle Mountain is a mountain in the Canadian Rockies that is part of Banff National Park. It has a castle like appearance due to erosive processes.

4. Crowfoot Glacier

The Crowfoot Glacier sits above Bow Lake which is located in Banff National Park. The icy giant of Crowfoot Glacier, which nestles away on the rocky flanks of Crowfoot Mountain, is seen from the Icefields Parkway.

5. Bow Lake

Bow Lake is one of the largest lakes in Banff National Park and it is a glacier-fed lake, that is incredibly gorgeous. Its turquoise coloring is due to glacial till.

Peyto Lake is a glacier-fed lake in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. This is one of the most popular lakes in the Banff National Park. 7. Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre

(May - mid of Oct) The Columbia Icefield Adventure takes you to one of the largest ice fields outside of the polar regions where you can witness breathtaking glaciers and vast frozen landscapes. You’ll travel on an all-terrain Ice Explorer to the Athabasca Glacier, a 10,000-year-old sheet of ice. The experience allows you to appreciate the power and majesty of nature in a truly unforgettable setting. (Optional Activity: Ice Explorer or Skywalk)

8. Columbia Icefield Skywalk

(May - mid of Oct) The Columbia Icefield Skywalk is an incredible experience that you must do. Visitors can walk along an interpretive pathway that guides them to a breathtaking viewpoint. Here they will find a glass-floored walkway that is suspended 280 metres above the Sunwapta Valley. This unique feature allows guests to look down and see the valley below creating a thrilling sensation. The thrilling height makes this a must-visit destination for anyone who loves adventure and nature. (Optional Activity: Ice Explorer or Skywalk)

9. Athabasca Glacier

(Oct 12- Nov & Mar-April)The Athabasca Glacier is a stunning natural wonder located in the Canadian Rockies. It is part of the Columbia Icefield one of the largest icefields in North America. You can hike the Toe of the Glacier Trail to see the Athabasca glacier very close. This glacier is also a vital indicator of climate change as it has been shrinking over the years. Many people come to admire its beauty.

10. Athabasca Falls

(Oct 12- Nov & Mar-April) Athabasca Falls is one of the most stunning and powerful waterfalls in the Canadian Rockies. It is located just 30 kilometers south of the town of Jasper. (Dec to Mar, subject to weather conditions) Abraham Lake truly shines in the winter when its turquoise water freezes, revealing thousands of white bubbles beneath the surface. The ideal time to witness the Abraham Lake bubbles is often between mid-January and early February. The lake typically freezes in mid-December. So, you don't miss out on experiencing the magic of frozen bubbles.
