Meeting and Pickup

You can meet us at our office 15 minutes prior to departure at 321 N. Main St. in Moab. We have parking for your convenience and there is also free curbside parking all around if our lot is full. Please contact Navtec directly for pick-up. There is a $10 fee per group.

Itinerary

1. Utah Scenic Byway 279 Rock Art Sites

Short stop to discuss the petroglyph panel and ancient cultures of the Moab and Canyonlands area

Duration: 10 mins

2. Potash Road

Brief stop to view a petroglyph panel, then off road to pass the Potash Salt Ponds

Duration: 20 mins

3. Dead Horse Point State Park

The 4 wheel drive road we travel is below Dead Horse Point State Park. You'll see it from an angle that most visitors do not.

4. Canyonlands National Park

This is a backcountry tour of Island in the Sky. We travel by 4-wheel drive vehicle.

5. Lathrop Canyon

Follow the canyon down from the White Rim to the Colorado River

Duration: 60 mins

6. White Rim Road

This rugged portion of the 25-mile (40-km) White Rim Road loop offers incredible views around every bend. Explore more of this amazing landscape on several short optional hikes just beneath the White Rim Sandstone level. Follow your guide on moderately challenging hikes to caves, caverns and breathtaking viewpoints over the mighty Colorado River. Or simply relax near the vehicle and soak up the views at Gooseneck Overlook, Lathrop Canyon, Musselman Arch

7. Shafer Trail Viewpoint

Perhaps the most exciting part of the day is the return from the White Rim road up the switchbacks of the Shafer Trail! We stop at the viewpoint to look down into the canyons and and incredible places we visited throughout the day.
