During our ‘Canals of Bangkok’ tour you will explore life on and around the klongs (canals) of Bangkok and get a glimpse of how the local people live. Elderly people sitting on the chairs on the wooden docks of their tiny homes overlooking the canal, women hanging laundry to dry, men fishing and children jumping into the water and swimming in the canals, amazing! During this tour you will use different types of boats: the Chao Phraya Express boat, the typical Thai long-tail boats and small rocket-boats to explore the narrowest canals. The guide will take you ashore to visit a temple or market and explain you all you want to know about the history and Thai way of life. Our canal tour is unique and offers you an unforgettable insight of the life on and around the klongs of Bangkok!

Pickup Information

We pick up from hotels in central Bangkok. Pick up time depends on the hotel location and exact pick up time will be informed after reservation. Drop off after the tour is not included. This tour ends at the Chao Phraya Express Boat pier in Chinatown or at a pier of choice along the route.

Our tours operate rain or shine, as tropical rain showers in Thailand usually don’t last long. If it rains heavily, we try to seek shelter and will continue as soon as the weather improves. During the rainy season, it’s a good idea to bring a raincoat or poncho. Please note cancellations due to weather are not eligible for a refund.
