Overview
This private city sightseeing tour of Chengdu takes you to all the highlights: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Wenshu Temple, People’s Park and Old Town. Spend several hours watching adorable pandas before your guide takes you by private vehicle to the famous Zen Buddhist monastery for lunch. Then stroll down Kuanzhai Alley, followed by relax at a teahouse in the park. Your full-day tour includes an optional upgrade to see the Sichuan culture opera show.
Pickup Information
Departure point: Free picking up service from your city hotel or residence in Chengdu (all hotels within 3rd Ring Road), if you stay outside the 3rd Ring Road, then need to be picked up at the main gate of Wuhouci, or please contact us in advance to arrange to be picked up from your hotel or airport and pay extra cost to driver. Return point: Returns to original departure point or can be drop-off at the city center.

Itinerary
1. Meet your friendly English-speaking guide at your hotel lobby. After 40 mins driving, you will start your exciting day at Chengdu Panda Breeding Center. Spend your morning with the cutest, yet impressive, creatures in China! 3 hours inside the Panda Center, tour through the baby and adult panda areas and visit the red panda section to see these small adorable animals.
2. Wenshu Temple, a preserved Buddhist temple housing many precious works of art that are considered cultural relics. It is one of the most important Buddhist Temple in Chengdu City. You will enjoy a special vegetarian buffet lunch here with locals and monks. After lunch, visit this beautiful and peaceful Buddhist temple. Take a stroll at the temple complex with impressive buddha statues. See the monks and local prayers.
3. Next, head over to the Kuanzhai Alley, one of Chengdu’s three historic conservation districts. Constructed in 1718 during the early years of the Qing dynasty, this pleasant pedestrian thoroughfare is home to a fascinating mix of classic Sichuan architecture and modern cafes and boutiques. While you walk, listen to commentary from your guide about the district's history and design, and witness how some of the city's old establishments — local restaurants, traditional teahouses, Chinese calligraphy demonstrations — sit alongside the new. Enjoy the sights of older-style buildings, gardens and rows of souvenir shops and vendors lining the street.
4. Travel to People’s Park to see locals going about their daily business like singing or dancing before witnessing the cultural idiosyncrasy of Match Corner, an enclave in which parents attempt to match their children with other eligible infants. Leisurely enjoy a cup of local tea by the river before head to your hotel, end your memorable day.
