Itinerary
1. 5:30 am Our guide will pick up you and start the boat trip from Ninh Kieu wharf. Begin your journey as the sun rises, cruising the Mekong River and soaking in the morning tranquility.
2. 6:15 am Arrive at Vietnam’s largest floating market, a bustling hub where local vendors sell fresh produce, fruits, and goods directly from their boats. This market is a lively reflection of the region's traditional way of trading, and you'll get a chance to observe this unique floating commerce up close. Pineapple Boat Stop Taste fresh, juicy pineapple and chat with local vendors about life on the river. Your visit helps support small family businesses, giving you an authentic taste of the Mekong community. You’ll also learn how the market operates and the significance of trading on water in the Mekong Delta. Breakfast on the Boat Enjoy a traditional river-based meal, a unique experience where you dine while floating among the vibrant market activity. This is a must-do in Cái Răng, where the sounds and sights of the market provide a perfect backdrop for your meal. You may also get a chance to try local dishes like noodle soup or fried rice, often served directly from the boats.
3. Visit a family-owned rice noodle house where artisans make colorful noodles by hand. You can try making your own noodles and learn about the family’s old techniques passed down through generations. This experience helps support local cooking traditions.
4. Small Canal and Nature Immersion Our boat will take you through small, peaceful canals, guided by a local expert. As you glide along, you'll hear the gentle sounds of nature and see water palms, coconut trees, and lush fruit orchards. This part of the tour lets you enjoy the quiet beauty of the environment while spotting local fruits along the way.
5. Enjoy a short stroll through a local village, where you’ll see daily life and traditional homes up close. Interacting with the friendly villagers gives you a deeper understanding of the Mekong culture and lifestyle.
6. Take a walk to a cacao plantation, where a local artisan will explain the chocolate-making process. See how cocoa is grown and turned into chocolate using traditional methods passed down through generations. Enjoy a refreshing glass of cacao milk and support the farm’s long-standing tradition. 10.00AM: Arriving at the HANDMADE chocolate farm immersion. After small canals, we will walk 10 – 15 mins to the cocoa plantation. There is one only man in Vietnam who makes chocolates with his own technique and recipe which will definitely impress you.
