On this day tour, you will explore the main 'Downton Abbey' film locations including Highclere Castle used as Downton Abbey, Bampton which is used as Downton village and Cogges Farm which is used as Yew Tree Farm. Leaving the hubbub of town, your morning will be spent visiting Downton Village and Yew Tree Farm and enjoying the picturesque Cotswold scenery and villages. Travelling by traditional London taxi (max 4 persons), this intimate sized tour will provide you with an insight into the making of the show and uncover stories behind some of the places that you will visit on the tour. The first location that you visit is about 70 miles out of town and (depending on traffic) the journey lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. Following this guided tour you will be able to explore the village for yourself. Then its off to the jewel in the crown of Downton Abbey filming locations - Highclere Castle. This nineteenth century castle which boasts 5000 acres of beautiful grounds is the centrepiece for any Downton fan.
