2 minutes’ walk from Kyoto-Station Hachijo-Exit. First, go out from Hachijo West Gate of Kyoto station and go across the Hachijo Street to the other side. Next, go straight on the west (right) road of IBIS. Turn right at the first corner and keep walking for a bit and you will find us on your right.

Itinerary

1. Sanjusangendo Temple
Our first destination is Sanjusangendo Temple, which is famous for its 1001 statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, displayed inside the temple.
Duration: 30 mins
2. Gion
10 minute's ride from Sanjusandengo. Following the Shirakawa River, we will bike through the old backstreets that lead us to Miyagawa-cho and Tatsumi Bridge in Gion, the famous geisha district. It takes about 20 minutes to ride through the area.
3. Nanzen-ji Temple
15 minute's ride from the Gion District. Getting closer to the centre of Kyoto City, we will visit Nanzen-ji Temple, one of the most important Zen temples in Japan.

4. Heian Shrine
10 minute's ride from Nanzenji Temple. Our last stop is the popular Shinto shrine called "Heian-Jingu Shrine", which is known as a symbol of being the capital of Japan about 800 years ago.
Duration: 15 mins
5. Kamogawa River
10 minute's ride from Heian-Jingu Shrine. Lastly, we will make our way back following the Kamogawa River, probably the most famous river in Kyoto. It takes approximately 20 minutes to get back to our Flagship stop.
