Overview

In this experience, you'll be in direct contact with nature. We first visit the beautiful port of Río Lagartos, where you can take a boat ride and observe various local species: crocodiles, the natural beauty of the mangroves, and the main attraction: the flamingos. You'll also enjoy a Mayan bath. Afterward, we'll visit the pink lagoon of Las Coloradas, where you can take excellent photos. Next, we'll head to the archaeological site of Ek Balam, where you can climb to the top of the pyramid. Finally, you'll visit the Mayan underworld through a beautiful cenote where you can enjoy Yucatecan cuisine. Travel safely with our transportation, which includes travel insurance and the service of a certified local driver who will help you arrive safely at your destination, ensuring a pleasant and unhurried experience. Itinerary

1. Rio Lagartos
Ría Lagartos is a protected natural area. In this beautiful place, you can take a boat tour where you'll see beautiful mangroves, crocodiles, herons, pelicans, and flamingos. You can also enjoy a Mayan clay bath, which serves as a skin exfoliant. (Boat tour not included). IMPORTANT (experience cost/payment required on site) Boat Tour of Río Lagartos Option 1: ($750 MXN per person, minimum 2 people) ($550 MXN per person for groups of 3 or more: service in Spanish) Option 2: ($850 MXN per person, minimum 2 people) ($700 MXN per person for groups of 3 or more: service in English) It is important to confirm in advance if the boat tour is in English, as it is subject to availability. If you do not confirm, it will be assumed that the service will be in Spanish.

2. Las Coloradas
To continue with the tour we will visit the pink lake or lagoon of "Las Coloradas". The water and the surrounding environment are incredibly salty, attracting brine shrimp, plankton, and red algae. As the water evaporates in the sunlight, these organisms become more concentrated and eventually create the famous bright pink water. Because the salt we consume is processed there, it is forbidden to enter the water but you can take a tour around the lake and take incredible pictures. (Entrance fee not included but optional). IMPORTANT (Experience cost/payment required on site) $460 MXN per person.

3. Zona Arqueológica de Ek Balam
Ek Balam ruin is one of the tallest in the area, standing at 95 feet tall where you can climb to the highest point of the ruins, which will take you high above the treetops and give you a stunning view of the peninsula. (Entrance fee not included). IMPORTANT (Experience cost/payment required on site) $581 MXN per person for foreigners. $211 MXN per person for nationals.

4. Cenote Hubiku
And finally we will visit the Mayan town of Hubiku where you can swim in a beautiful cenote, taste liquors and have delicious Yucatecan cuisine for lunch. Cenote Hubiku, has the meaning "the great lord" or "nest of the iguanas." It is a young semi-open cenote, since you can see that on the surface it has an opening at the top small but enough for the sun's rays to enter and make the water have incredible sparkles, allowing it to show its charms, showing off the blue color of the water. (Entrance fee not included). IMPORTANT (Experience cost/payment required on site) $400 MXN per person.
