This self-drive rental makes it easy and affordable to escape the city and enjoy stunning scenery, with flexibility for solo adventurers, couples, or groups. With no crowds, no tour schedule, and spectacular desert views, this is the perfect DIY way to experience the natural beauty of Black Canyon.

Meeting and Pickup

Meeting point

Meet your guide 15–20 minutes early at the Paddlecraft Launch Area at Willow Beach. Look for the EZ Kayak setup by the main ramp. Uber/Lyft— not available for the area and there is no cell service. Free parking included with park entry. Late arrivals may forfeit the tour.

Itinerary

You will drive yourself to Willow Beach, about 1 hour from the Las Vegas Strip. Upon arrival, your stand up paddleboard (single or tandem) will be prepared, including all safety equipment as well as a dry bag, snack bag, ice-cold water (in summer months only), waterproof phone case and an optional sun hat. Photo ID will be required and a check of equipment prior to setting out on your 4-hour rental. You can return any anytime prior to your 5-hours if you desire - the choice is yours! Rentals are self-guided and self-paced; no guide will be with you throughout your journey. Beginners or those seeking more safety are encouraged to join a guided tour or receive a 10-15 minute instruction from a professional guide.
