3. Learn about Samuel Cunard from the man himself! Ok, well it's our tour guide pretending to be him, but it's still very informative and lots of fun!
4. Discover the Discovery Centre! We'll tell you all about the brand new interactive exhibit. All attractions along the tour are optional. You have the ultimate freedom to visit and pick up the tour right where you left off.

8. Welcome to Pier 21, the place many immigrants from faraway lands first stepped foot in Canada. Almost a million people came here between 1928 and 1971 to begin new lives.
9. Discover what it was like to be a sailor fighting at sea in World War II! We'll tell you all about the ship and museum. If you want to know more, you can always go in and check it out.
10. See Canada’s oldest working clock that's been telling time for over 250 years! The nine-foot pendulum encased in the base is driven by a 250 pound weight.
11. As you explore the historic graveyard, we'll tell you about the lost grave of William Condon.
12. As you stroll through this spectacular urban garden, we'll tell you all about it! There's a number of points of interest to explore here.
13. We'll point out this church across the street and tell you about a little mice problem it may have.
14. You'll see the tall wrought iron gate in front of you leading into the Halifax Public Gardens, a designated National Historic Site. Here you will find formal garden maintaining the style of the Victorian age.
15. While walking along what was once a swampy wasteland, you'll see ducks and geese and even a quiet spot to sit and learn some of the history of the pond.
16. We'll tell you about why the Protestant Camp Hill Cemetery was created on old Commons ground and why you may want to browse through the ancient stones.
17. We'll tell you about the ginormous Halifax Armoury built in 1895 as a drill hall for volunteer militia and what it's being used for today.
18. You'll hear about why, Prince Edward, Commander in Chief of the military commissioned this clock to be built.
19. You'll learn about a Gothic Revival Cathedral and how the effects of the Halifax Explosion in 1917 are still being felt today.
20. We'll tell you how old the cemetery is and some of the history of this tiny hectare of land. Why not take a moment and walk among stones etched with poignant tributes to those who passed centuries ago?
21. Visit the oldest continuously open farmers market in all of North America.
22. We'll tell you about the impressive monument to the people of Halifax and Dartmouth, who experienced first-hand, the devastation of the Halifax explosion.
23. RICHMOND STAIRCASE. We'll tell you the symbolism of the staircase and railings, into which are the names of businesses that were destroyed in the blast.
24. THE STORY OF FRANCIS MACKEY. You'll hear his story, the pilot onboard the Mont-Blanc, and how his life was profoundly changed after the explosion.
25. FIRE & ICE & BLACK RAIN. As you are walking, we'll talk about the horrific conditions the explosion and weather caused for the survivors.
26. Three moments in time...we'll tell you about the memorial to the Catholic Parish of St Joseph’s.
27. RICHMOND SCHOOL. Here we'll tell you how this building, originally built to house a school, was constructed immediately after the explosion and the tragedy of the Roome School..
28. SECRET OF THE TREES. We'll tell what secret made them infamous in lumber mills from Canada to the southern states of America.
29. We'll tell about the controversy around this structure and why it ended up being built here.
30. DESIGN: TUDOR REVIVAL. As you walk along you'll see a block of rowhouse cottages, built using the English style, for surviving families.
31. We'll point out the 'Fountain at Bishop's Landing'. A popular cooling off spot, great for a warm summer day.
32. We end our tour here at the Hydrostone Market. This tour was not about monuments or buildings but about the people who lived through that awful day and those who raced to help them. We hope their stories are an inspiration. Our starting point is just across the road in the park.
