Itinerary

1. Eglinton Valley
Carved out by glaciers thousands of years ago. Today, steep rocky mountains covered in native beech forest line the valley. The flat floor of the valley is covered in eye-catching golden tussock grass.
2. Mirror Lakes Walk
Small tarns on the roadside providing outstanding refelctive views of Earl Mountains.
Duration: 15 mins
3. Milford Sound
Board the luxurious Milford Haven and sail through the heart of Milford Sound. Bask in the natural beauty, from cascading waterfalls to towering cliffs, while enjoying onboard amenities and insightful commentary.
Duration: 120 mins
4. The Chasm Viewing Bridge
Dramatic views od a series of powerful waterfalls. The sheer velocity of water gives and appreciation of how much rainfall the Milford Sound area recieves per annum.
Duration: 15 mins
5. Monkey Creek
A pull over area where you have a good chance of spotting whio/blue duck and Kea.
Duration: 15 mins
6. Homer Tunnel
At an altitude of 945m above sea level, the tunnel pierces the sheer rock to allow road acces to Milford Sound. The completion of the tunnel in 1953, (1.2km) was an extraordinary achievement.
7. Pops View Look Out
Take in the superb views of the Hollyford Valley and the Darran and Alisa Mountains.
