Itinerary

1. The Fries Scheepvaart Museum is a versatile museum about the history of Frisian shipping from the 17th to the 20th century.
2. The Waterpoort in Sneek is perhaps the most famous icon of the city. This stone building is characterized by the two octagonal towers.
3. Come and have a look at one of the oldest buildings (anno 1484) in Sneek, where Widow Joustra Beerenburg has been made for more than 150 years.
4. With more than 5000 models, the model railway museum has the largest collection of model trains in Europe.
5. The Martini Church was originally built in the 11th century and made of tuff. Around 1300 the church was enlarged and it got three towers.
6. Sneek Town Hall was built around 1478. The building was then built on the foundations of two towers: a medieval, defensible, habitable tower. After that, the City Hall was often expanded and renovated.
7. The Sint-Martinuskerk is the Roman Catholic neo-Gothic pseudo-basilica cross church in Sneek and is dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours.
8. From cabaret and musicals to dance, music and family performances, Theater Sneek offers the ultimate night out for everyone.
9. The Martini Church was originally built in the 11th century and made of tuff. Around 1300 the church was enlarged and it got three towers in a Romanesque west facade. A wooden core was also added.
