Itinerary

1. The Dom Tower of Utrecht is the tallest church tower in the Netherlands, at 112.5 metres in height. It is considered the symbol of Utrecht.
2. Self-playing musical instrument collection, from music boxes to clocks, pianolas & barrel organs.
3. It is one of the city's oldest churches. Its construction began in 1039 and it was inaugurated on 1 May 1048.
4. Very colourful, comfortably busy flower market. Amazing array of cut flowers and plants. Worth seeing in Utrecht.
5. Beautiful canals with restaurants. The Oudegracht, or "old canal", runs through the center of Utrecht and is famous and wirth a visit.
6. This botanic garden is situated on the Utrecht University campus, around a former fort, part of the so called "Holland Water Defence.
7. The most exciting train station in the Netherlands ... The Railway Museum is so much more than just a museum. It's a fascinating place.
8. Neude comes from 'node', which means swamp. The Neude used to be a lot lower than the square is now.
9. The Nicolaïkerk is a church in the Dutch city of Utrecht, located at Nicolaaskerkhof 8. The church is also popularly known as the Nicolaaskerk.
10. De Zeven Steegjes is one of the last working-class neighborhoods in the center of Utrecht. These characteristic workers' houses near the Oudegracht.
11. The Janskerk is located on the Janskerkhof. It was founded shortly after 1040 by Bishop Bernold and is dedicated to John the Baptist.
12. The city hall of Utrecht is more than a special and old city hall. The oldest parts date from 806. After 5 centuries, the building looks as we know it today.
13. Paushuize, built at the beginning of the sixteenth century, is an important monumental building in the city. It is located on the Pausdam.
14. The foundation building on Agnietenstraat was completed in 1761 and was originally built as a boarding school for orphaned boys. The building is one of the highlights of the rococo in the Netherlands.
15. The Sterrehof is a courtyard in the city. The courtyard is very atmospheric and valued as a national monument.
