1. Sparrenburg

Sparrenberg Castle, also known as the Sparrenburg, is a restored fortress in the Bielefeld-Mitte district of Bielefeld, Germany. It is located on the Sparrenberg in the Teutoburg Forest and towers 60 meters above the city center.

2. Old Town Hall

Bielefeld's Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) is a splendid building, an administrative headquarters and the seat of the city's Lord Mayor.

3. Altstadter Nicolaikirche

The church dates from 1340, making it the oldest town church in Bielefeld. The most special thing about the church is the carved altar with a total of 250 figures.

4. Leineweber-Denkmal

The monument consists of a three meter high bronze linen weaver figure standing on a plinth and reminds us that linen weavers played an important role in the economic development of the town in Bielefeld at the beginning of the 20th century. The figure carries a suitcase, taking with it the cliché of the suitcase man.

5. Susterkirche

The Süsterkirche of the former Augustinian monastery Mariental is today the parish church of the Evangelical Reformed congregation in the East-Westphalian city of Bielefeld. It is located in the northern old town on the eponymous Süsterplatz and thus in the Mitte.

6. Alter Markt

Get ready to take some pictures because the next stop is the Alter Markt! This old market place is one of the most picturesque places.

7. Neues Und Altes Rathaus In Bielefeld.

The first town hall in the old town of Bielefeld was probably built in the 13th century on the Alter Markt and became a joint administrative center after the merger with the new town. In 1821 the building was enlarged police and justice now rooms in the town hall.

8. Neustadter Marienkirche

The Evangelical Lutheran Neustädter Marienkirche is the largest church in Bielefeld. Built in Gothic style from 1293, the church is a defining element of Bielefeld's cityscape and is located in the Mitte.

9. Altstadter Nicolai Kirche In Bielefeld

The Altstädter Nicolaikirche is the oldest church in the original urban area of Bielefeld. It is the church of the Evangelical Lutheran Nicolai Parish in the Old Town. The church is named after Nikolaus von Myra. It is located in the Mitte

10. St. Jodokus-Kirche

St. Jodokus is a Roman Catholic parish church and former Franciscan church in the center of Bielefeld in the Mitte district.

11. Kunsthalle

The Kunsthalle Bielefeld is both a museum with its own collection and an art hall with four temporary exhibitions per year.

12. Theater am Alten Markt

The Bielefeld Theater and the Bielefeld Philharmonic Orchestra are among the largest cultural providers in the region with over 200,000 visitors a year at around 600 performances of music theatre, drama, dance and drama.
