1. Konzerthaus Freiburg
The Freiburg Konzerthaus is the city's famous concert hall, which opened to the public in 1996.
2. Colombipark
Along with the Municipal Park and the Schlossberg, Colombipark is one of the few parks in close proximity to the center of town.
3. Albert Ludwigs Universitat Freiburg
Founded in 1457, the University of Freiburg is situated in the heart of the city. As one of the ten best universities in Germany.
4. Freiburg Cathedral
You can hardly ignore it, the more than 800 years old Freiburger Münster. The cathedral has a 116 meter high spire that rises far above the other towers.
5. Freiburger Synagoge
Poignant memorial to the fate of Jews and their places of worship at the hands of the Nazis. The actual synagogue burned down in the 1930s.
6. Martinstor
The Martinstor (English Martin's Gate), a former town fortification on Kaiser-Joseph-Straße, is the older of the two gates of Freiburg.
7. Schwabentor
The Schwabentor is located on the border of the pedestrian area of the city centre.
8. Adelhauser Kirche
A remarkably vibrantly hued building is in a grand peaceful square. An impressive provenance extending back to 1687, it is one of the treasures of the city.
9. Konviktstrasse
Konviktstrasse. freely accessible / always open. When the sun's rays slowly herald the beginning of summer, the blue rain twines like a garland across the street.
10. Schlossberg
The Schlossbergturm or Castle Hill Tower is a 35 m high observation tower on Castle Hill Schlossberg on the edge of the historic Altstadt of Freiburg in Breisgau. It has 153 steps, the top is 463 m above sea level and thus 185 m above the average height of the city.
11. Stadtgarten
The Stadtgarten Freiburg is a 2.6 hectare park in the district of Neuburg. It has mature trees and a large rose garden.
12. Historisches Kaufhaus
The historic department store is Freiburg's most traditional house for stylish events.
13. Museum fur Stadtgeschichte
The museum is housed in a "normal" middle-class house with a few preserved items such as ceiling paintings.
14. University Church
Catholic Church at the University of Freiburg. The former Jesuit church has been part of the university since the 18th century.
