An Escape game and city walk at the same time. 2,5 kilometres long and over 1,5 - 2 hours of fun for the family or a group of friends. Meanwhile, during this game there is plenty of time to sit on one of the terraces. A city walk has never been so much fun. An app will help you with your quest during the city walk. The Groenlo Gangster cares everyone, is life-threatening and robs. The police have tried to find him, but unfortunately ... without success. So all hope is now in your hands.

You can go to the starting point: Ruurloseweg/Borculoseweg. Check the email you received from us with further explanation and the login information for the special app. There is no guide. The game automatically takes you to all the beautiful spots in the center of Groenlo.

1. Planning a city walk in the centre of Groenlo? Then the 'escape the city' game will ensure that the city walk will be one to remember. About 1,5 - 2 hours and 2,5 km further on, you will not only have seen the most beautiful spots of the city during this city walk in Groenlo, but you will also have done the local police a favour by finding one of the city's biggest criminals... The Groenlo Gangster. The trail naturally leads along the 20 most beautiful and surprising places in Groenlo.

Grolsch Brouwhuys De Lange Gang in Groenlo is gebouwd op de oorspronkelijke brouwplek van Grolsch, waar in 1615 het allereerste Grolsch‑bier ontstond, en heropend in 2015 als museum‑café restaurant. Bezoekers kunnen een virtuele ‘Grolsch Tour De Oorsprong’ volgen door de gewelven en kelders, de originele waterput en bioscoopplek ontdekken, en afsluiten met een pul oerbier in authentieke sfeer. Daarnaast serveert het restaurant smaakvolle lunches en diners, en is er een sfeervolle biertuin en feestzaal beschikbaar voor evenementen.

The Jewish cemetery in Groenlo, established in the early 19th century at the foot of the historic town fortifications, features around 55 gravestones shaded by tall oak trees and enclosed by a restored brick wall. Once on long-term lease and later purchased by the Jewish community, it includes a ritual purification house and has remained a nationally recognized heritage site despite occasional vandalism and storm damage over the years. Today it serves as a poignant reminder of the once‑vibrant Jewish population in the region and is occasionally still used for burials, maintained through ongoing restoration efforts.
5. Museum 80‑Years’ War in Groenlo is housed in the beautifully restored late‑Gothic Oude Calixtus Church, the very same building that witnessed multiple sieges during the conflict. The museum offers an engaging and interactive journey through the Eighty Years’ War, presenting the story from Dutch, regional, and Spanish-European perspectives using multimedia, games, and first-floor walkways. Visitors are invited to explore history actively, adopting the role of investigative journalists as they uncover the complexities and diverse viewpoints of this pivotal period for Dutch independence.
