An Escape game and city walk at the same time. 2,5 kilometres long and over 1,5 - 2 hours of fun for the family or a group of friends. The Wicked Wageninger is a serious criminal that has been troubling the residents of Wageningen for years. Not only is he a thief, but he also robs and threatens people. Out of shame and fear, people often dare not talk to the police, who therefore have no leads. If only there was a team smart enough to help. Are you? You can go to the starting point: 5 mei Plein. Check the email you received from us with further explanation and the login information for the special app. There is no guide. The game automatically takes you to all the beautiful spots in the center of Wageningen.

1. Planning a city walk in the centre of Wageningen? Then the 'escape the city' game will ensure that the city walk will be one to remember. About 1,5 - 2 hours and 2,5 km further on, you will not only have seen the most beautiful spots of the city during this city walk in Wageningen, but you will also have done the local police a favour by finding one of the city's biggest criminals... 3. Museum De Casteelse Poort in Wageningen is a cultural history museum located in a villa built on the foundations of the town's 16th-century castle. Its permanent exhibitions cover 5,000 years of local history, including the city's medieval development, tobacco industry, and the role of Wageningen University. A notable exhibit focuses on World War II, featuring artifacts from the 1945 German surrender signed in nearby Hotel De Wereld, highlighting Wageningen's significance as the 'City of Liberation' .
4. The National Liberation Monument in Wageningen commemorates the end of World War II and the liberation of the Netherlands. Located near Hotel de Wereld—where the German surrender was signed in 1945—it symbolizes peace, freedom, and remembrance. Each year on May 5th, the monument plays a central role in the national Liberation Day celebrations.
5. The Bassecour in Wageningen is a historic complex originally built in 1750 by Baron Torck van Rozendael, consisting of four grand townhouses set back from the street, creating an elegant forecourt. In 1880, it became the main building of the Wageningen Agricultural University but was later abandoned and fell into disrepair. In 1998, Roelofs & Haase transformed the structure into 24 stylish apartments, preserving the original façade and architectural details while modernizing the interior, thus maintaining its 18th-century charm.
