The Duomo Square offers a breathtaking view, especially at sunset, when the sun’s rays illuminate the polychrome marble of the buildings in the city’s religious complex: the Baptistery, the Cathedral, and Giotto’s Bell Tower. With our certified guide, you’ll have the chance to admire the magnificent Byzantine mosaics on the vault inside the Baptistery, while outside you can see Lorenzo Ghiberti’s masterpiece, the east door of the Baptistery, commonly called the “Gate of Paradise.” The next step of your journey will reveal the majestic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Duomo. The final stop of the tour will be the Museum of the Opera del Duomo, where you can admire priceless works of artistic heritage.
