Itinerary
1. Your private tour guide and driver will pick you up at 8:00am in your hotel lobby or Zhengzhou Railway Station, drive about 1.5 hours to Kaifeng City, Henan province.
2. Your first stop is Millennium City Park,located in the old city of Kaifeng (the former Bianjing) in Henan Province. It was founded in 1992 and opened to the public in 1998, the 5A national park covers 40 hectares and has over 50 ancient decorated boats and more than 400 buildings in Song style. Walking in the park, you can get feelings that you have returned to 1000 years ago- lines of ancient shops and hotels, kinds of Song style mansion and houses, various shows of ancient custom and activities, classical music of Song style.
3. After enjoy a local lunch, visit Kaifeng City Wall. With the lenghth of 14.4 kilometers, it is the second largest ancient city building in China after the Nanjing City Wall.The city wall was built 2,300 years ago,is the earliest city wall in Kaifeng history. After the war and the flooding of the Yellow River, today's city wall is stacked with five layers of ancient walls.
4. Your last stop is Dragon Pavilion Park.The Dragon Pavilion is the main part in the park, a very famous and crucial historical spot which was located in the northwest of Kaifeng. It is said that it was a temple for worshipping the emperor of the Qing Empire. The original base was built in 1692, but the wooden structure on top was probably refurbished if not reconstructed more recently because Kaifeng suffered several periods of major devastation since then from flooding and wars. Some suggested alternative options for you: 1.Kaifeng Iron Tower Park 2.Prime Minister Temple 3.Kaifeng House Scenic Resort After the tour, you will be transferred back to Zhengzhou City hotel or Zhengzhou Railway Station.
