Overview

Your interesting tour begins early in the morning, as we pick you up from your hotel in Hurghada and take you on a 4-hour drive in an air-conditioned vehicle to the east bank of Luxor. Here, you'll have the opportunity to visit the awe-inspiring Karnak temple, which is dedicated to the triad of Thebes - Amun Ra, Mut, and Khunsu. This impressive temple was built by several Kings and contains a complicated plan, including the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 columns arranged in rows. Optional lunch at a local restaurant is available for your enjoyment. Afterward, your guide will take you to the west bank, known as the city of the dead. You'll visit three tombs in the Valley of the Kings and marvel at the cleverness of the ancient Egyptian artists and their use of vibrant colors. You'll also visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, where your guide will explain her divine birth. Finally, you'll stop at the Colossi of Memnon to take some lovely pictures before transferring back to Hurghada.

1. Luxor Temple
Luxor Temple is one of the most prominent ancient temples in Egypt and a must-see destination for any traveler visiting the city of Luxor. 3. Colossi of Memnon
The Colossi of Memnon, also known as the statues of Memnon, are two enormous stone statues located in the Theban Necropolis on the west bank of the Nile in Luxor, Egypt. The statues, which are approximately 18 meters tall and weigh around 720 tons each, were built during the 14th century BC by Pharaoh Amenhotep III to guard the entrance of his mortuary temple. The statues were named after Memnon, a hero of the Trojan War in Greek mythology, due to the sound they produced when the sun's rays hit them at dawn, which the Greeks believed to be the sound of Memnon greeting his mother Eos, the goddess of dawn. This phenomenon is caused by the expansion of the stone as it heats up from the sun's rays, creating a series of vibrations that produce the sound. The Greeks believed that the sound was a sign that the statues were alive and began to visit them as a tourist attraction. Over time, the Colossi of Memnon became a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors from all over the world.

4. Valley of the Kings
The Valley of the Kings is a renowned archaeological site located on the west bank of the Nile River in Luxor, Egypt. It is one of the most significant and well-known historical monuments of the ancient Egyptian civilization, attracting thousands of tourists each year. This magnificent temple features a unique design of 3 floors, adorned with colorful stone statues that exhibit its beauty and elegance. Apart from its exceptional design, the Temple of Hatshepsut is also renowned for its inscriptions, which depict the naval missions sent by Queen Hatshepsut to the country of Punt for trade and to bring back incense and myrrh. Incense was considered an essential offering to the gods by the Pharaohs of Egypt, and this is evident in the paintings on their temples, depicting the Pharaohs offering incense to various gods.
