Itinerary

1. Battistero Di San Giovanni
Begin the tour at the oldest building in the city: the Baptistery of Saint John. Standing in the square, admire its famous bronze doors, which Michelangelo famously called the “Gates of Paradise.”
2. Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore
Admire the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, renowned for its unique flower-shaped floor plan and the world’s largest masonry dome—the masterpiece of architect Filippo Brunelleschi. Even Michelangelo is said to have remarked: “It would be difficult to equal it… impossible to surpass it.” We will admire the Duomo from the outside. However, if there is no queue to enter, we will also visit the interior.
3. Chiesa di Santa Margherita dei Cerchi
Visit the Church of Santa Margherita dei Cerchi, one of Florence’s oldest churches, traditionally linked to Dante Alighieri and Beatrice Portinari.
Duration: 10 mins
4. Museo Casa di Dante
Stroll through Dante’s Quarter, take a look at Dante’s tower house from the outside, and step inside the ancient church where the father of the Italian language first met the love and muse of his life, Beatrice.
5. Torre della Castagna
Discover Torre della Castagna, one of Florence’s few surviving medieval towers. Built in the 11th century, it was once the meeting place of the city’s governing council, making it an important symbol of Florence’s early republican history.
6. Piazza della Signoria
Visit the political heart of Florence—Piazza della Signoria, an open-air museum filled with magnificent original sculptures created by the great artists of the Renaissance.
Duration: 15 mins
7. Palazzo Vecchio
Take a quick look at Palazzo Vecchio, Florence’s historic seat of government—a medieval fortress that once housed a prison for the city’s most dangerous criminals and later became the original residence of the Medici family.
8. Ponte Vecchio
End your tour at Ponte Vecchio, the symbol of Florence and the city’s oldest bridge, famous for its jewelry shops overlooking the Arno River.
Duration: 10 mins
