It actually produces a cold light without infrared or ultraviolent frequencies and can be seen at night. The insect grows very well in brackish water in the Mangrove trees. A trip to Malaysia would be incomplete without exploring the uniqueness and miracles of the Kuantan Village Fireflies found in the midst of mangrove trees in this small villages. Visitors would experience riding on a traditional sampan (boat ride) and down the Selangor River and observe the fireflies in close proximity.
