Itinerary

1. Temple of Hatshepsut
Next, you will visit the awe-inspiring Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural marvel built for one of Egypt’s most iconic rulers. Queen Hatshepsut, the daughter of Thutmose I, reigned as pharaoh for approximately 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (1490–1469 BCE). As the only woman to rule ancient Egypt as a pharaoh, she left behind a legacy of remarkable achievements, and this temple stands as a testament to her power and vision. Its terraces, carved into the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari, showcase intricate reliefs and grand design.
Duration: 120 mins
2. Colossi of Memnon
Your next stop is the iconic Colossi of Memnon, two towering stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood majestically for nearly 3,400 years. These impressive monuments once marked the entrance to Amenhotep’s grand mortuary temple, which has largely disappeared over time. While here, you can marvel at their intricate craftsmanship, learn about the legends surrounding them, and take unforgettable photographs of these historical giants that continue to inspire awe in visitors from around the world.
Duration: 60 mins
3. The Karnak Temple
Our journey continues to Luxor’s East Bank, where you’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we will explore the magnificent Karnak Temples, an awe-inspiring complex that stands as one of the greatest monuments of worship in history. Dedicated to the Theban Triad—Amun, the king of the gods, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu—this sprawling site showcases towering columns, intricately carved hieroglyphs, and sacred precincts, offering a deep connection to the spiritual and artistic achievements of ancient Egypt.
Duration: 120 mins
4. Luxor Temple
Conclude your tour with a visit to the stunning Luxor Temple, a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture. Originally constructed by Amenhotep III during the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom, the temple was later expanded by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. This magnificent structure, adorned with statues, colonnades, and intricate carvings, was a center of religious ceremonies and devotion. After exploring this historical gem, you will be comfortably transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
Duration: 60 mins
5. Valley of the Kings
Your experienced Egyptologist guide will meet you at your hotel or Nile cruise in Luxor to start your journey to the West Bank. Here, you will explore the renowned Valley of the Kings, a royal burial ground where many ancient pharaohs found their eternal rest. Among the most notable tombs are those of Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tutankhamun, Ramesses VI, Merenptah, and Amenhotep II. Each tomb offers a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Egyptian artistry and history.
