Dear Wizards: We’re confirming your appointment for "Griffins, Goblets, and Gold: A Wizarding Tour. The Harry Potter books inspired this interactive tour; we’ll be looking at spaces and objects that may remind you of those in the series, as well as some possible influences. Please note: There are no objects—or replicas of objects--from the movies in the museum. The Met is located at 1000 Fifth Avenue at 82nd Street. Please enter at the main entrance. Be sure to leave time to go through the security line, especially if the weather is inclement or you have booked during a holiday period. Please meet by the giant statue of a seated Pharaoh located to the right of the info desk in the Great Hall. The guide will be on the museum-entrance side, holding a sign that says “Wizarding Tour.” The guide will have your tickets, which are also good in the museum after the tour ends. If you have any problems or questions, please call or text (917) 513-4081. If you think you’re going to be late, please let us know, and we will arrange to leave your tickets at the “Advance Tickets and Groups” desk. Guides do not pick up their phones and cannot receive texts or phone calls once the tour begins. This interactive tour will last approximately two hours; you’re welcome to stay in the museum after the tour ends. We suggest that you wear sneakers or comfortable walking shoes--and brush up on your wizarding knowledge! Wizarding gear is always welcome, but wands must be small enough to stow away in a bag. If there is anything about your group that we should know that will help make the tour an even more enjoyable experience, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Please feel free to reach out with any questions; we look forward to showing you the Met with a Wizarding twist! Best, Evan
