Itinerary

1. Grotto Canyon is one of the more beautiful walks in the Canmore/Banff region. Hiking down a frozen creek bed through a tiny canyon, past unique rock formations and majestic icefalls, is known as the Grotto Canyon Icewalk.
Duration: 90 mins
2. When snow covers these three peaks in the winter, they look like a nun's headpiece. The three peaks were given the name the Three Sisters in 1886.
3. Grassi Lakes is a popular spot for hiking, photography, and wildlife viewing. This short picturesque trail is great for families and is one of Canmore's most popular hikes. this lake is known for its vibrant turquoise color. The surreal clear blue waters lined with bright green algae are fed by the Spray Lakes Reservoir above. In winter, with snow-covered trees lining the Grassi Lakes hiking trail and dramatic snow-capped mountains all-around, the winter scenery can be magical.
