Itinerary
1. Uncover the eerie charm of Drumheller with over 15 audio points of interest on this self-guided walking tour—featuring the haunting Hoodoos & Badlands, the shadowy Atlas Coal Mine, the towering World's Largest Dinosaur, and spine-tingling stories lurking around every corner.
2. As we walk to our next point of interest we'll tell you about Alberta's Badlands and the ghostly looking Hoodoos.
3. CACTUS JACK: We'll point out this old hotel and tell you about a ghostly patron who had a saloon named after him.
4. A HAUNTED SPA. We'll tell you about the building in front of you and how it was once a luxurious spa complete with the presence of a ghostly client.
5. While walking to our next stop we'll tell you about a very heart-warming practice that’s common in cemeteries.
6. ROSEDEER HOTEL: The Rosedeer Hotel, which is now known as the Last Chance Saloon. It’s not hard to imagine that a place nicknamed “Bucket of Blood” in the 1920’s would turn out to be haunted!
7. Drumheller’s Navy League or Miner’s Memorial Hall - don’t be fooled by the name. You see, it was once a makeshift morgue. And so, as you can well imagine, these walls have seen their share of heartbreak and tragedy.
8. THE JOHNSON HOUSE. We've got a surprise for you here, well, its home to more than just mortal beings!
9. As you move on we'll tell you about the absolute MOST haunted spot outside of Drumheller.
10. Many years ago, curiosity and a flood tragically led to a horrible accident on the Star Mine Suspension Bridge, located in nearby Rosedale, sadly....
11. You'll see a tastefully-dressed blue dinosaur on the bench who is welcoming visitors to an interesting section of town.
12. Did you know the horror film industry’s most famous doll, Chucky, was inspired by a real-life doll named Robert? We'll tell you the story!
13. LEGION HALL: We'll point out this haunted building and tell you about why some think its such a great place, they have chosen to stay forever.
14. COAL MINING: Coal mining played such a huge role in Drumheller’s history. We'll tell some of the stories, both real-life and paranormal.
15. THE SPANISH FLU: The tragedies that occured in the coal mines aren’t the only possible source for lost souls here in Drumheller.....
16. You'll see a tall, really tall member of the T-Rex family in front of you known as “The Reaper of Death”. You didn't think you could visit Drumheller without talking about dinosaurs. It is the dinosaur capital of the world, after all.
17. Do you ever think some ghosts might be kids? And that maybe some of those kids might’ve loved school so much they’ve decided to stay forever?
18. A WOMAN, A CHILD & A GRUMPY MAN: We'll tell you about how within the walls of this very cool looking two story brick building, a family of Drumheller’s ghosts has taken up residence.
19. WATER TOWER: We'll point out Drumheller’s water tower and tell you how it became a movie star!
20. We'll tell you about why this beautiful old building just happens to be one of Drumheller’s most haunted.
