Overview

At 844 meters high, Pedra da Gávea is the largest seaside monolith in the world and offers one of the most spectacular views of the city: Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Lagoon, South Zone, Barra da Tijuca, and the entire Rio de Janeiro coastline, all in one place! The route : The trail is about 2.5 km uphill (approximately 5 km in total) and takes an average of 3 to 4 hours to complete, depending on the group's pace. During the route, we traverse sections through the Atlantic Forest, intense climbs, roots, rocks, and the famous Carrasqueira challenge, a short climbing section where you need to use your hands. But don't worry : with the guidance of our expert guide and safety equipment, you'll climb with confidence and peace of mind!
